书的英文读后感篇1
d.h.lawrence and his sons and lovers sons and lovers was regarded as his autobiography, actually, i strongly agree with this view. isquo;d like to compare the novel with lawrence in the following three aspects: family background, the shackle of class and oedipus complex. first is the background. as to d.h.lawrence, he was born in a family which his father was a miner who hardly received any education, instead of his mother with well education and her personal ideal of the politics or philosophy. compared with sons and lovers, the herosquo;s family is similar with lawrencesquo;s-----vulgar father, well-educated mother. the father who works as a miner, nothing like to do but drinking, his words usually can be rude no matter what to his wife or his children;
the mother, a well educated lady, fell in love with mr. morels accidently, but the reality finally defeated her romance, the humble and mediocre life struck her dream of being honorable. all in all, these situations are reflection of lawrencesquo;s life, not only the characteristics of parents but also the surroundings, like working in the mine, living a strapped life and so on. secondly, to a certain degree, isquo;d like to compare lawrence as a combination of both william and paul (the eldest son and younger son in the novel). as william, he was a man who grew in such family and had a strong will to break the shackles of his class. william was gifted, he was successful in both his academy work and interpersonal relationship, and he escaped from his lamentable family to london. the mentality of william just like lawrencesquo;s that a canary in the cage who tried to get away to the broad sky. so in this aspect, i think lawrence purred his feel to this character subconsciously: the disgust of his father, admiration of his mother, struggle to free himself from the mournful family. all these characteristics are based on author himself experience. of course, these stuffs also connected with the society at that time, which class you came from can be the first to affect who you were or how you were, in order to change your social status, the most important was to change the class you belonged to. all these ideology created both lawrence and his william. last but not the least i want to point out is oedipus complex which showing explicitly in the novel, peculiarly on paul, the younger son who faced the difficulty when his love countered to miss miriam, the deeply love towards his mother----mrs. morel, which was clanged his tightly. he can find his true love until one he emancipated himself from his mothersquo;s love. paul would be entangled with dilemma every time when he stayed with miriam;
he could not love her from heart as his will and another hand, he cansquo;t abandon his love to his mother. as a generally thought, mrs. morel was regarded as lawrencesquo;s mother----lydia, miss miriam was recognized as lawrencesquo;s first girlfriend----jessie. in this point, lawrence endowed his oedipus complex on his paul, in the novel, the agonized and miserable love was showed incisively and vividly. from all above, we can see distinctly, the novel----- sons and lovers is an autobiography of lawrence himself, not only on the background of the society, family, but also the personality of the leading character. from the novel, we can have a glimpse of lawrencesquo;s private life;
a talent suffered from his anguished and miserable love, and shackle of class.
书的英文读后感篇2
in this summer holidays, i read a book called t; great expectations>, it was written by charles dickens, one of the most famous english writers. he wrote lots of wonderful novels. this book is one of his compositions.
people always like to compare with their friends. it is a big foible of all the people. if other people have a lot of money, we also want to be rich. if all the people around us are poor , we never mind that we are very poor, too. we will not ashamed because of our folly. this is a social problem.
if we never possess anything, we will not mind we lost some thing. since we don't want to be very rich ,we will not feel despond because poor.
the protagonist of this novel is pip (handel)。 his parents died when he was a baby. his sister had brought him up 'by hand'. his sister married to joe gargery, the village blacksmith. they didn't have much money, and pip never went to school to study. but he was often very happy .because all of his friends are like him. it isn't very unfortunate to them, this is their lives. but by a chance, pip helped a convict; he gave much food to him. then he met miss havisham, a very strange old woman and she was very rich.
four years later, miss havisham wants pip to be removed from his home and educated as a gentleman who expects inherit a fortune when he grow up.
after hearing that . pip started to despise his poor friends. he even feel ashamed because he live with the poor man . pip's 'great expectations' destroyed his life.
this novel told us that we cannot compare with others .don't feel envy at the others money. and if one day you be very rich , please don't despise your poor friends.

书的英文读后感篇4
the moral issues proposed by artificial intelligence
in the movie,a diversity of robots were created to meet humans need. andwhen the first robot with emotion like humans is going to be produced,someoneraised a question: what responsibility should human take for robots who arecreated to love human? in fact,its really a great challenge in traditionalmorality.
what happens if we begin to create a robot that is capable to love likesus? it means that we would be more struggling to regard robot as an animatelives or just a tool to feet our needs,especially an intelligent object justcries and laughs exactly like us. the two choices represent two divergentattitudes towards robot. emotionally,its natural for people to regard robotswho are so similar to us as our friends or families,even closer than pets. theyboth have feelings and emotion. for intelligent robots with emotion,they work,talk,and even love as we do. however,rationally,robots are just artificialmachines designed by human,and made to serve us,which give human a greatappetency to control and rule them,using as slaves or even tools. apparently,its difficult to tell which attitude is right definitely for now. for the reasonthat,when there is a novel controversial object shaping in the process oftechnology,traditional morality tends to wake and needs to develop.
书的英文读后感篇5
wittgenstein once said, "i would like to walk on the ground and not dance in the clouds." how many of us want to reach out to the cloud, to chase what we can't get, and forget what we have until we lose it. the ground walk, just more steady and steady, this is the novel "gone with the wind" to give me the feeling!
after reading "gone with the wind," i was obsessed with the love story between scarlett and rhett. scarlett loved ashley when she was young, even when she learned that ashley was about to marry melanie, she was desperate to find ashley and show her heart. her subsequent marriages were only for her own benefit. later, rhett appeared, and he knew scarlett better than anyone else. she was a strong, tough, vain, greedy, selfish woman, but also had a good and good side. he loved her as a child, and even tolerated her love for another, waiting for her to repent. later because their daughter died unexpectedly, have appeared in the rift between them, rhett begin to feel tired and pain, he chose to leave scarlett, although this time scarlett has begun to consciousness, realize your true love is rhett, she begged begged rhett don't leave, but unique to his own pride and obstinacy, after all, he still did not budge.
if scarlett could treasure rhett well enough not to chase her own thing -- ashley, maybe he could live a fairytale life with rhett.
imagine, many of us not as beauty, struggling to chase, that does not belong to you things gone by, but ignored his side have the most important thing, until to lose to regret.
tagore said, "if you miss the sun and you cry, then you will miss the stars." it is happy to cherish the people we have, because we are always unsure of what we need, and we always have a desire for everything.
cherish the moment, cherish the people, things and things that you have, i'm afraid not many people can actually do it. people love to watch a mountain high and eat in a bowl. it is a household word, it is a negative word, it is believed that nobody will like it, but in reality, how many people become its slave, unable to extricate themselves. i hope that we can really do not just look away from the distance, but also focus on the present, instead of blindly chasing what we can't get and what we don't get, and ignore what we have.
walking on the ground, yearning for a better life!
